Lina Lindqvist is a painter based in Stockholm, Sweden. She graduated from Umeå University in 2006 with a master’s degree in art and art history, along with additional painting studies at the art academy. With a long-term interest in architecture, she explores different places, spatiality, and its relationship to humans. Depopulated places interest her and are a recurring theme in her work. Born and raised in Västerbotten in northern Sweden, nature has also been a significant source of inspiration. Desolate landscapes and forests are recurring themes, often intertwined with elements drawn from urban settings and imagined environments.
